Finance & Accounts Section had a Meeting on the 1st February 2008
at NERCRMS, Shillong.
The broad topics discussed in that meeting were:
(a) Submission of report by District Societies with regards to
list of Assets, Transfer of vehicle auction money, CA
certified audit compliance for 2006-07 Audit Report,
District wise bank interest amount and proposal for
utilization, Utilization Certificate for 3rd Qtr under F Y
2007-08 etc. (b) Reconciliation of RS and DS Accounts. (c)
Statutory Audit for the year 2007-08. (d) Approval of
Additional Budget for F Y 2007-08. (e) Timely utilization of
fund of 2007-08 and closing of accounts. (f) Discussion
about 2008-09 ( April – Sept’08) budget. Etc.

Workshop on ‘Strategic Micro-Finance and Micro-Credit Business
Management
Microfinance and Micro Credit Business Development” at RGVN and
Don Bosco Institute, both are located at Guwahati. This
particular workshop / training was held from 18th to 24th
February 2008. It essentially consists of three programmes viz:
Exposure visit to RGVN, Financial and Organisational
Management Training at Don Bosco Institute and Credit Nodal
Officers Meet. The primary objective of the workshop was to
really make understand the shape of Micro Finance Institution
and how it functions particularly in the credit management
activities in rural areas in the North Eastern Region.
The prominent and distinguish dignitaries and

Adviser, Govt.of Assam, Moses K Chalai - PCDS, NERCOMRP-IFAD,

Training on Baseline, Endline and Assessment Survey
A two days training on baseline, endline and
assessment survey was conducted for the enumerators in West
Garo Hills, Meghalaya from January 8-9, 2008. There were a
total number of 40 participants from all six project districts
who attended the training.

Knowledge Management Meeting
System Administrator & I/c Communication Officer -
NERCORMP, attended the meeting which was held on the 8th
January 2008, at the WFP office, New Delhi. The objective were
to - (a) Strengthening Knowledge-Sharing and Learning
processes (b) Supporting IFAD project staff members with
learning infrastructure (training on CMS—content) and (c)
Promoting knowledge culture and fostering partnerships to
promote knowledge sharing and learning
