This District the Project has taken off after the Court’s verdict. The Project Manager and two Project Technical officers are in place. The other Supporting staffs are also in place. Two NGOs are contracted by the DST. The Line Department orientation was completed. The 20 Project villages are been identified and approved by the Board of management. The Health strategy for the district was developed and in its final shape SHGs orientation is completed and the team had visited Ukhrul to study the SHG concept. On their return they have formed 51 SHG Groups in all the Naga villages. The Appraisal read workshops was organized to realize the concept and philosophy of the project in the month of October 2000.
