West Garo Hills:

All positions of the DST are in place. The Community Co-ordinators of the two NGOs are in position and placed in the respective project areas. The Community organisers have been identified by the NARM groups and have undergone training in the area. The Line Departments particularly Horticulture, Agriculture, Irrigation have participated in the planning process and contributed technical support to the design of plans. This is the only District where one official from the Line Departments has been deputed to the project for three years. The NaRM-G are executing their plans and there are 20 SHGs the details of which is enclosed in this report. Currently the planning exercise is in progress.
