Brief write up and report on the project convergence of WGHCRMS, IFAD
In the IFAD project appraisal, the emphasis was laid on the convergence with the Government agencies for the future sustainability of the institutions created under the NECORMP IFAD project. With the success of the NERCORMP IFAD model and works initiated, the District Administration has started entrusting some works under EAS (Employment Assurance Scheme) to the groups through the blocks which was successfully implemented by the groups with active monitoring from WGHCRMS. This has been the stepping stone towards the convergence programmes with the WGHCRMS.
The District Society have received direct funds through DRDA, Tura, and the summarized financial statements are given below.
Total amount received from NERCORMP since inception till date Rs. 18, 13, 56,000.00
Total amount received from DRDA RSVY & SGSY Tura till date Rs. 7, 86,19,000.00
Total amount received from DRDA under SGRY Rs. 35, 35,000.00
(Rice was also received to the tune of 519091 kgs under the SGRY Scheme)
So far out of the total fund received from NERCORMP an amount of Rs. 14,14,52,375.00 (Rupees Fourteen crores fourteen lakhs fifty two thousand three hundred seventy five) only has been released and utilized by the NaRM Groups since inception as per their AWPB under the heads of IG Grant, IG Loan, Social Sector and Infrastructure. Rs. 3, 65, 56, 331.00 (Rupees Three crores sixty five lakhs fifty six thousand three hundred thirty one) only has been released to the SHG, Cluster & Federation directly. Previously SHG funds were directed through the NaRM G till 2003-04. |
